FactoryPMI

FactoryPMI is a software product by Inductive Automation - a forerunner to Ignition. A sophisticated HMI/SCADA package that uses any SQL database as the primary data store. Runtime and Design environments are web-launched, rather than being installed by hand on each workstation. Plant Management Interface stands for PMI.

FactoryPMI Designer

The part of FactoryPMI that designs applications. This is what Integrators mostly use as they design their project.

FactoryPMI Gateway

The service/server portion of FactoryPMI. This is a webserver that is used to both launch the Designer and the Runtime, and to service requests from those two applications.

FactoryPMI Runtime

The runtime is the application that runs a FactoryPMI project. This is what end users (equipment operators, factory managers, and so on) use.

FactorySQL

A software product by Inductive Automation, a sophisticated communication bridge that synchronizes and/or logs data between PLCs and SQL Databases.
