Transaction Group

Units of executable code that perform a variety of actions, such as storing data historically, synchronizing database values to OPC, or loading recipe values. A variety of group types, item types, and options means that transaction groups can be configured to accomplish almost any task. There are four types of groups: Historical, Standard, Block, and Stored Procedure.

Touchscreen

A monitor that, when touched with a finger or stylus, converts the location of the touch into a mouse click.

Touchscreen Display

Generally replaces a monitor and mouse, bezel mounts into an enclosure so that it works well in an industrial environment, and is available in large sizes for a low cost. For example, a 17" or 19" touchscreen with a stainless steel bezel for about $1200- $1400 connected to a $400 PC gives you far more flexibility and maintainability than traditional operator interface terminals.

Tag

Tags are points of data, and can have static or dynamic values that come from an OPC address, an expression, or a SQL query. They also offer scaling, alarming, and meta information facilities. The different types of tags include: OPC tags, Memory Tag, Expression Tag, SQL Query Tags, and Complex Tags.
